Aston Villa, set for Champions League football, has accelerated its long-planned stadium renovations. Next season, the club will close one end of Villa Park to carry out construction aimed at pushing capacity beyond 50,000. The upgrade is timed to prepare the venue to host UEFA European Championship matches in 2028.
