IELTS is set to complete its shift to fully computer based testing by mid 2026, with traditional paper exams phased out in stages. The change aims to meet demand for faster results and more flexible booking in key markets such as India. Test takers are expected to see quicker scores and be able to retake only one section instead of repeating the entire test.
