The Ministry of Home Affairs has introduced updated rules for BSF Assistant Commandant (Official Language) posts. The key change raises the maximum age limit for deputation to 60 years, while educational qualifications and experience requirements remain unchanged. The move is designed to broaden the pool of experienced applicants and help fill vacancies in the BSF’s official language cadre.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has updated central posting rules for IPS officers. From the 2011 batch onwards, those aiming for empanelment as Inspector General or equivalent at the Centre must first complete at least two years of central experience at the SP/DIG level or an equivalent posting. The change tightens eligibility for top postings.
