The North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation (NERAMAC) has secured Geographical Indication (GI) certification for 13 North East products and is now set to authorize 800 farmers to use these GI tags on processed certifications. The move, backed by the Ministry of DoNER, aims to help growers protect product identity and potentially improve market value for region-specific crops.
