Australia is tightening English language testing for visa applicants starting August 7, 2025. From that date, only in-person tests conducted at secure testing centres will be accepted, while online and remote-proctored options will be excluded. The government says the move will improve the integrity and consistency of the migration system and better confirm applicants’ communication skills for integration.
