The ED was investigating influential builders accused of fraudulent land use license procurement and cheating investors. Police and officials seized at least one bag containing about Rs 21 lakh, while raids and questioning continued.

In its FY26 annual report, the Enforcement Directorate said arrests declined, but enforcement intensity rose sharply.
