Lyft is set to expand internationally by acquiring Gett’s UK taxi business, the app tied to London’s black-cab network. The deal is expected to close soon, with Gett’s UK team moving to Freenow. The purchase adds a large new driver base for Lyft in the UK and follows earlier Lyft-linked acquisitions such as Freenow and TBR Global Chauffeuring.
