Portugal’s right-wing government has approved a bill designed to make it easier to remove illegal immigrants, with officials saying illegality must carry consequences. After the cabinet meeting, government spokesman Antonio Leitao Amaro said removals should happen faster, pointing to a stricter enforcement push by the current administration.
