Spacetech startup Dhruva Space has secured ₹105 Cr in grant support under India’s RDIF for ‘Project Garud’, a next-gen 500 kg-class satellite platform built for large constellation deployments. The grant supports a standardised, production-ready design for telecom, earth observation and national security, aiming to cut reliance on foreign satellites while enabling high-volume manufacturing.
GalaxEye says it will start selling satellite imagery from its Mission Drishti satellite in eight weeks, moving from trials to commercial scale. Defence and security agencies are expected to be its earliest customers, helping anchor revenues. The satellite pairs advanced radar with multispectral sensors, positioning the company to monetize private space tech in India.
