Tamil Nadu politics is heating up after the Assembly election results, with DMK leaders TKS Elangovan and P Wilson alleging “horse trading” attempts involving Vijay of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). The flare-up stems from a dispute over a letter said to show TVK support from an AMMK MLA, which AMMK denies.
DMK hit out at Congress for supporting actor Vijay’s TVK to form the government in Tamil Nadu, calling it a “backstab” to the people and their mandate. DMK spokesperson Saravanan Annadurai questioned the alliance’s numbers and alleged Congress may be seeking cabinet berths. AIADMK too has decided to support TVK, intensifying the political fight.
