Nepal’s Supreme Court has stayed the Kathmandu-Madhesh Fast Track highway project awarded to a Chinese firm, after a challenge to the tender process. The project was put out for an international tender in June, with 13 companies responding. Afcons Infrastructure alleged the project office later restricted the final tender stage to just five firms, prompting the writ.
