India Russia pact lets 3000 troops and warships deploy anywhere at once

A logistics deal quietly permits rapid force rotation

India and Russia have agreed under the Indo-Russian Reciprocal Exchange of Logistics Agreement to station up to 3,000 troops on each other’s territory at any given time. The pact also allows deployment of up to five warships and ten military aircraft per side, with an option to extend beyond the initial five-year term.
